Depreciating Assets

When something of value is worth less
As time passes by more or less

Now this is of money
There are values besides
But often cash values count too

Low ball offers were made on some vans
Rejected by dealers now disappointed
Let me know it they did as expected
Some feeling of guilt rejected
Was I honest enough I say yes

Matters of business require attention
More than I usually give them
As life is lived it is learned
It can be if lesson applied

Then value is added
To dollars departed
When life itself
Is counted

Pigeon Guillemots

I returned today at high tide
The wrong turn of tide for these birds
Pigeon Guillemots who dance and mate
While eagles determine their fate

Enough for now to have learned their names
And the time of the tide to see them

A walk in the woods yielded several birds more
Woody Woodpecker I heard
Hooded Warbler I saw

Then a helicopter was heard
A Rufous Hummingbird
With a buzz as deep as the woods
And as deep as the day was spent

8,sep,19 - Little Bighorn - Deep Ravine Trail - Retreat and Yellowstone River

I counted 49 soldier markers along the escape trail (Route) from Last Stand Hill and the sign at the Ravine indicated 28 soldiers died there which ended the fighting. I guess the trail 600 yards, high grass and very hilly There were about 40 or so soldier markers on the hill itself. The battle was strung out in several locations over several square miles, an hour in duration. The Rangers give good discussions, all say there is much that remains a mystery and many inaccuracies to the stories. This Ranger ended with "The Indians won the battle but lost the war." 12-jun-19 Playing Guitar in a Redwoods Grove

12june19 Redcrest CA Ancient Redwoods RV Park Before Musemath and Fretmath and the internet in general much of my guitar practice was on park tables like this. This setting in a Giant Redwood Grove was particularly rewarding. _________________ Wasp Invasion - two wasps found a window screen in the bathroom ajar from the motion of the vehicle and stopped in for a visit. It went well enough, when they found the interior space too large for their purposes they headed for the side door screen, so I opened the door and out they went. All in a day's work for an RV'r. The window screen has been taped shut. Later on a giant earwig, probably from the Redwood Grove came crawling rudely over the stove and is no longer with us. Wasp and bug spray tomorrow I suppose. _________________
