The Tooth
The root canal done in Shreveport, LA did not hold and had been bothering me for weeks and was pulled yesterday and I am recovering. Feeling a bit better. Big hole or gap in the upper right, something might be done a little further down the road.

The RV
New belts all around, new power steering motor, and cab air conditioner has been retrofitted to R134 coolant. $1000. Johnson Auto and Electric 707 494 8195 looks good so far.

Tires check out good at Les Schwab 2440 Broadway, but 16.5's are no longer made and will probably want new 16's, both tires and rims in about a year. $2500 or so for 6 road 1 spare.

With some good help at OReilly's, 1634 Broadway, I got the Hazard Lights working myself and if I feel well enough tomorrow there's the passenger side front turn lamp to change - have to move the auto battery and the socket wrench I have looks like it will do the job. Bought a Chilton's for the 82 van chassis - specifically mentions motorhomes. Won't turn me into a master mechanic but should be helpful.

Called South Dakota DMV  and a mail forwarding service - I'm not following things too well yet due to the tooth pull but it looks good for registering the vehicle in South Dakota, just have to get there on the CA Trip Ticket I bought in Yreka. Confirmed ok and paperwork in Eureka DMV 2 weeks ago. Looks good but bureaucracies are what they are - its not done till its done. Will see.

Weather

Eureka has been 43 degrees cold and blustery - About 45 degrees cooler tha St George, UT. - OK with me but I'm not going into the Redwoods with the wind blowing Widowmaker Branches down from 300 feet in the air.
