Actually, the trip could be said to have begun when I left my old apartment in St. George Utah on April 30 and spent some time in Bend Oregon and Boise Idaho looking for an RV or a van or some kind of home. But those pics are not to be found so far. The best of that part of the trip was the wilderness around Mount Hood near Portland Oregon.

As soon as I had the RV I went down to Sequim Bay State Park with Dean, the previous owner who then showed me how to get started with it. Thanks Dean. This was before I started the blog and the pictures were not saved. Images from along hwy 101 and Hwy 3 (there was a fatal accident and I had to retrace my route) to Portland Oregon where I drove through the downtown streets at midnight trying unsuccessfully to find a bank atm and Wilsonville Oregon which had a great park are also deleted and no longer available. I stayed at truck stops and highway rest stops till I finally got to Rice Hill Oregon where I made my first stay over at a commercial RV Park. There is a picture of that somewhere, if I can find it.

8,sep,19 - Little Bighorn - Deep Ravine Trail - Retreat and Yellowstone River

I counted 49 soldier markers along the escape trail (Route) from Last Stand Hill and the sign at the Ravine indicated 28 soldiers died there which ended the fighting. I guess the trail 600 yards, high grass and very hilly There were about 40 or so soldier markers on the hill itself. The battle was strung out in several locations over several square miles, an hour in duration. The Rangers give good discussions, all say there is much that remains a mystery and many inaccuracies to the stories. This Ranger ended with "The Indians won the battle but lost the war." 12-jun-19 Playing Guitar in a Redwoods Grove

12june19 Redcrest CA Ancient Redwoods RV Park Before Musemath and Fretmath and the internet in general much of my guitar practice was on park tables like this. This setting in a Giant Redwood Grove was particularly rewarding. _________________ Wasp Invasion - two wasps found a window screen in the bathroom ajar from the motion of the vehicle and stopped in for a visit. It went well enough, when they found the interior space too large for their purposes they headed for the side door screen, so I opened the door and out they went. All in a day's work for an RV'r. The window screen has been taped shut. Later on a giant earwig, probably from the Redwood Grove came crawling rudely over the stove and is no longer with us. Wasp and bug spray tomorrow I suppose. _________________
